Hi all, Here's the latest report on what's been happening on the water here in Darwin and with the dry season rolling in it will get busier as the southern states cool down and people head north to the tropics so stay pisted for more updates.
Friday March 27th I had a half day stint with Jeremy Guard from Vancouver along with Debbee and Tony O'Connor from Perth. Jeremy bagged 2 Golden Snapper while Debbee caught 4 Golden Snapper and 2 Javelin seeing Tony get 2 Golden Snapper and 2 Catfish.
Saturday 28th of March it was Rory Mawn from Darwin along with Richard Menon also from Darwin and Gerard Mawn from Ireland. Rory caught 6 Trevally, 5 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin, 1 Bream and a Cod. Gerard's catch was 3 Trevally, 2 Queenfish and a Golden Snapper. Richard nabbed 5 Trevally and 2 Golden Snapper.
Sunday 29th March I had Dave Virtue, Scott Gittins and Henk Hermans out with me for a half day session. Dave caught 2 Trevally. 2 Queenfish, 4 Javelin and a Golden Snapper. Scott got 2 Trevally. Henk nabbed 2 Trevally, 1 Queenfish, 1 Brown Mowong, 2 Javelin and a Estuary Cod.
Wednesday 1st April it was Eddie Vogel from Sydney along with Steve Wheway also from Sydney seeing Steve catch 4 Golden Snapper, 4 Javelin and 2 Trevally while Eddie caught 3 Golden Snapper, 1 Tarpon, 1 Javelin and a Cod.
Thursday April 2nd and it was Mariea and Peter Smith from the Gold Coast along with Roger Boyle from Canberra. Peter caught 3 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin and a Estuary Cod while Mariea nabbed 2 Golden Snapper and 2 Javelin. Roger got 2 Golden Snapper, 1 Blue Threadfin Salmon, 1 Javelin and a Brown Mowong.
Friday 3rd April it was Ross and Marion Auton from Narracoorte, SA along with James Sturtevant seeing James nab a nice 64cm Barra along with 3 Golden Snapper. Ross got 2 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin and a Catfish while Marion nabbed 2 Golden Snapper and 2 Javelin.
Saturday 4th April I was out with Emile Hunt and Cameron Kominek from Canberra with Emile getting a Brown Mowong, 1 Barramundi, 4 Javelin, 2 Golden Snapper and a Bream. Cameron caught 4 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin and a Flathead.
Sunday 5th April I was out with Kurt Thomas and Becky Penn from Bondi, NSW where Kurt caught a Barramundi, 3 Golden Snapper, 2 Trevally, 1 Queenfish and a Catfish. Becky caught 2 Golden Snapper and a Mackerel.
Monday April 6th and I had Rob and Janet Mckintosh from Ocean Grove, VIC. Rob nabbed 3 Golden Snapper, 2 Catfish and a Flathead while Janet caught 4 Golden Snapper, 1 Tarpon, a Estuary Cod and a Catfish.
Tuesday 7th April I had father and son team David and Jack Campbell from Melbourne seeing Jack nab a Mackerel, 1 Brown Mowong, 1 Giant Herring, 1 Golden Snapper,4 Trevally and a Queenfish. David got a Queenfish and a Trevally.
Wednesday 8th April I had back to back half day charters with the morning crew consisting of Kim Teunissen and Aaron Jones from Newcastle, NSW along with Greg Philander from Melbourne seeing Kim getting 1 Queenfish, 1 Trevally and a Estuary Cod while Aaron caught a Trevally and a Queenfish while Greg nabbed 2 Queenfish and a Blue Threadfin Salmon. The afternoon crew were Paul Madden and Dianne and Finn Currie from Mt Isa, QLD. Finn caught his 1st Barramundi along with a Javelin Fish and a Bream. Dianne caught 2 Queenfish and a Blue Threadfin Salmon while Paul nabbed a Queenfish for the session.
Friday 10th April and it was Kurt Thomas and Phil Javers from Darwin along with Barry Gerber from Brisbane I the morning crew seeing Barry getting 2 Queenfish and a Trevally while Kurt caught 2 Queenfish, 1 Golden Trevally and a Silver Trevally with Phil getting a Queenfish, Trevally and a Catfish. The afternoon crew were Merv Hill from Brisbane along with Gary Kingshott from Tassie. Gary bagged 3 Golden Snapper, 3 Javelin, a Brown Mowong and a Catfish. Merv nabbed 2 Golden Snapper and a Javelin.
Saturday 11th and again back to back half day charters with the morning crew consisting of Mick Roberts and Jackie Wilson from Newcastle, NSW along with Chris Kenny from the UK. Chris nabbed a Golden Snapper and 2 Javelin while Mick bagged a Queenfish and a Trevally with Jackie getting 3 Javelin, 1 Golden Snapper, 1 Trevally and a Flathead. The afternoon session had me with William and Rodney Stott from Mudgee, NSW along with Tri Sani from Adelaide. William got 5 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin, 1 Trevally and a Batfish. Rodney nabbed 2 Golden Snapper, a Catfish and a Batfish. Tri caught a Golden Snapper and 3 Catfish for the session.
Sunday 12th was a full day charter with Michael Crouch from Singapore and David White along with Lachlan Mullins from Melbourne. David got 3 Trevally, 7 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin and 2 Estuary Cod. Michael caught 5 Trevally, 3 Golden Snapper and 8 Javelin while Lachlan caught 2 Trevally, 2 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin and a Catfish.
Monday 13th I had Xabier Flores from Canberra along with Nayda Donoso from Equador. Xabier caught 2 Javelin, 2 Cod and 2 Batfish while Nadya nabbed a Golden Snapper, Trevally and a Stripey Snapper.
Tuesday 14th it was Paul Smith from Echuca, VIC along with Mark Stephens from Melbourne with Paul getting 4 Golden Snapper, a Queenfish, a Silver Mowong and a Trevally while Mark caught a Golden Trevally, a Golden Snapper, a Estuary Cod, a Queenfish and 2 Moses Perch.
Thursday 16th it was Fabian Huebne from Germany who did a full day charter with me while on board for the morning session I had Frank Gerassimou from Newcastle, NSW along with Les Busa also from Newcastle and on board for the afternoon session I had Frank Faber and Nina Horstra from Holland. Les caught 3 Golden Snapper, 1 Javelin and a Flathead. Newcastle Frank caught 5 Golden Snapper, a Trevally and a Javelin. Dutch Frank nabbed 7 Queenfish and a Golden Snapper while Nina caught 8 Queenfish. Fabian's tally for the day was 12 Queenfish, a Golden Trevally, 3 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin and 2 Trevally.
Friday April 17th I had father and 2 sons Graham Nicoll and Hugh and George 2ith George nabbing his first Barra at 64cm along with a Catfish. Hugh got 2 Blue Threadfin Salmon, 2 Golden Snapper, 2 Estuary Cod and a Javelin. Graham nabbed a Golden Snapper.
Saturday 18th it was Jo and Peter Page from here in Darwin along with Terry Donnellan from Sydney seeing Jo getting 4 Golden Snapper and 2 Javelin while Peter also nabbed 4 Golden Snapper and 2 Javelin seeing Terry getting 2 Javelin and a Trevally.
Monday 20th April it was James Dewar, Terry Wooland and Neil Bayliss from Melbourne seeing James nab 2 Barramundi, 2 Estuary Cod and a Flowery Cod while Terry caught a Barramundi and a Estuary Cod with Neil nabbing a Queenfish.
Tuesday 21st it was Nils Sauerbier from Germany seeing him nab a Barramundi and 4 Catfish.
Thursday 23rd and I had Jason O ' Sullivan and Danielle Linggiid out for a half day stint with Jason getting a Cod and a Catfish while Danielle caught a Golden Snapper and 2 Catfish.
Monday 27th April and I had Mio Kovacevic and Zofja Urbanski from here in Darwin seeing Mio getting 3 Javelin, 1 Trevally, 1 Queenfish and a Nightfish with Zofja catching 4 Javelin, 1 Trevally, 1 Blue Threadfin Salmon, 1 Golden Snapper and a Catfish.
Wednesday 29th April it was Ben and Jack Hassett from Melbourne along with Troy Beard also from Melbourne. Troy nabbed 3 Golden Snapper, 3 Javelin and a Trevally. Jack caught a King Threadfin Salmon, 2 Javelin and a Catfish while Ben nabbed 2 Golden Snapper and a Queenfish.
Thursday 30th it was back to back half day charters with the morning crew consisting of Dean Hyatt and Michael Luccitti from Wollongong, NSW along with Sam Tumala from Los Angeles. Dean caught 2 Javelin and 2 Golden Snapper while Michael caught 2 Javelin, 1 Golden Snapper, 1 Trevally, 1 Estuary Cod and a Catfish. Sam nabbed just 1 Estuary Cod for the session. The afternoon had me back out with Brendan Crowe and Lucy Goodwin from Canberra with Brendan getting 4 Queenfish and 2 Trevally while Lucy nabbed a Golden Trevally and a Bream.
Friday 1st May it was a full day 2ith Richard and Sonya Eddy from Yarrawonga, VIC with the guys having a cracker of a day seeing Richard bag 12 Golden Snapper, 6 Javelin, 3 Trevally, 2 Tarpon, 2 Mangrove Jack, 2 Catfish, 1 Estuary Cod, 1 Tuskfish, 1 Batfish and a Brown Mowong. Sonya also did well catching 6 Golden Snapper, 2 Mangrove Jack, 2 Estuary Cod, 5 Trevally and a Queenfish.
Saturday 2nd May and it was another full day charter with Stav Bogiatzis from Townsville and Mark Shaddock from Cremorne, NSW where the guys kicked off the day with multiple hook ups bagging 40 fish off the first 40 casts then proceeded to have a great days fishing with the tally seeing Stav get 30 plus Golden Snapper, 1 Golden Trevally, 20 Silver Trevally, 6 Queenfish, 2 Javelin, 2 Tarpon, 1 Mackerel and a Cod. Mark's take was 50 plus Golden Snapper, 20 Trevally, 1 Mackerel, 1 Barracuda, 2 Queenfish, 1 Blue Threadfin Salmon, 12 Javelin and a Catfish.
Sunday 3rd of May and I had Stav Bogiatzis back out with me along with Frank Bradica from here in Darwin with the boys again having a great day. Stav's tally this time was 28 Golden Snapper, 1 Brown Mowong, 6 Trevally, 7 Javelin, 2 Cod and a Mangrove Jack. Frank took 30 Golden Snapper, 1 Golden Trevally, 6 Javelin, 1 Brown Mowong, 1 Estuary Cod, 1 Mangrove Jack and 6 Trevally.
Monday 4th of May and I had Rebecca Campbell from the Central Coast, NSW along with Rebecca king and Tony Shirreffs from Darwin. Darwin Rebecca caught 3 Golden Snapper, 2 Javelin, 1 Estuary Cod and a Catfish. Rebecca Campbell caught 4 Golden Snapper, 4 Javelin, 2 Trevally, 1 Queenfish and a Cod. Tony nabbed 4 Golden Snapper, 4 Javelin, 3 Trevally, 1 Blue Threadfin Salmon, 1 Cod and a Catfish.
Tuesday 5th and I had a full day charter with Chris Coburn from Newcastle, NSW where Chris caught 1 Brown Mowong, 6 Javelin, 8 Golden Snapper, 1 Blue Threadfin Salmon, 2 Bream, 1 Estuary Cod and a Trevally.
Wednesday 6th May it was a half day stint with Viv and Leonie Oakley from Tassie seeing Leonie catch 6 Golden Snapper, 4 Javelin and a Trevally. Viv nabbed 5 Golden Snapper and a Trevally.
